Launching Your Canvas Course
This working session will review our Canvas Semester Checklist to ensure your course is ready for launch. Training runs for forty minutes, with an additional twenty minutes for questions if needed.


What’s New in Canvas?
Did you know that Canvas releases new features throughout the year? This thirty-minute session will showcase updates to Rubrics, New Quizzes, and Modules, as well as provide you with a toolkit of formatting options to spruce up your course. Join us for a quick demonstration to learn more!


Getting Started with Gradescope
Interested in using Gradescope in your course? Need help getting Gradescope configured and ready for the semester? Or have you been using Gradescope, but didn’t realize you can link the assignments to Canvas? Join this one-hour session to learn more about the tool and ensure you are set up and ready to go for Fall 2025!


Beyond a Blank Canvas – CTEI’s Canvas Formatting Toolkit

Do you wish your Canvas course had a homepage? Or that your content pages looked prettier? Are your students able to easily find the information they need to be successful within your Canvas course? This hands-on session will provide design tips and demonstrate how to use CTEI’s Canvas Formatting Toolkit to improve the aesthetic appeal of your course, including how to add typable headers, callout boxes, icons, and more!

iClicker for Fall 2025

Did you know iClicker is available without additional cost for all JHU faculty and students? This session will cover iClicker basics for instructors: setup, taking attendance, polling question scoring, and Canvas integration. There will be live demonstrations of the iClicker platform. Even if you’ve been using iClicker for years, we will highlight new features like Reactions and Events that make it easier than ever to encourage classroom interactivity.

Note that this training is in person. Please bring your laptop.
